FileTools

Common questions, answered clearly

Learn how local processing works, what browsers support, and when to use each tool.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Current tools read and process files in your browser and do not send them to a FileTools server.

Which file types are supported?

Tools cover JPG, PNG, WebP, PDF, DOCX, PPTX, ZIP, CSV, JSON, Base64, and file checksums. Each tool page lists exact input limits.

Why can complex Word layouts change?

DOCX to HTML prioritizes headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, and images. Exact pagination, floating objects, headers, and fonts may change.

Can I use FileTools on a phone?

Yes, but large files depend on device memory, browser capabilities, and available battery. A current browser is recommended.

Will a result always match the source perfectly?

Not always. Interactive PDFs and complex office layouts need careful review. Keep the original and open every downloaded result.

How are the tools tested?

Releases run type checks, code-quality rules, unit tests, production builds, crawlable-page verification, and real-browser interface checks.

How should I report a problem?

Provide the tool, browser version, reproducible steps, and expected and actual results without publicly attaching private source files.
