How to turn multiple images into one PDF
Turning several images into one PDF is useful for scans, class notes, and photo collections. FileTools creates the PDF in your browser, so the source images are not uploaded.
Steps
- Choose the images you want to include.
- Select them in the order you want the pages to appear.
- Create and download the PDF, then check its page orientation and clarity.
How to prepare the page order
When order matters, rename files with prefixes such as 01, 02, and 03. File picker sorting differs between operating systems, so open the PDF afterward to confirm the order.
Landscape and portrait images can be combined, but each page follows its source dimensions. Check that every page is readable before submitting the document.
What if the PDF is too large?
The final size depends on the number of images, their dimensions, and their original compression. Resize images to the width you actually need before creating the PDF instead of using camera originals.
For identity documents or other private material, local processing reduces the upload step, but you should still store the downloaded file carefully.
At a glance
Best for: Turning photographed notes, receipts, artwork, or scanned pages into one shareable document.
Input: JPG, PNG, or WebP images
Output: One PDF with one image placed on each page
Before downloading
- Rotate images upright and crop unwanted borders first.
- Rename or select images in the intended page order.
- Check that small text remains readable in the final PDF.
Why are there margins around an image?
The tool fits each image onto a PDF page while preserving its aspect ratio. Portrait and landscape images therefore use different amounts of page space. Crop images to a consistent ratio before conversion when edge-to-edge alignment matters.
Can the generated PDF be searched?
No optical character recognition is performed. Text photographed inside an image remains part of that image rather than becoming selectable PDF text. Use OCR software afterward when searchable text is required.
