FileTools

Compress images

Reduce JPG, PNG, and WebP file sizes.

How it works

  • Choose or drop your files
  • Select “Open image studio” and let your browser process it
  • Review the result and download it to your device

Why use FileTools for compress images?

Image compression re-encodes a picture with a quality setting chosen in the image studio. It is most useful when an upload limit, website performance target, or email attachment size matters more than retaining every original byte.

Best suited for

Website photos, form uploads, email attachments, and copies intended for quick sharing.

Input and output

Input: JPG, PNG, or WebP images. Multiple files can be processed in one batch.

Output: New image files in the selected format and quality, with the originals left unchanged.

Known limitation

PNG screenshots and graphics may become larger when converted to a photographic format. Very low quality settings can introduce visible blocks, halos, or blurred text.

Practical tips

  • Try WebP at 75–85 quality for photographs, then compare the result at 100% zoom.
  • For screenshots with sharp text or transparency, compare PNG and WebP instead of assuming JPG will be smaller.
